What Makes EtonHouse Nature Pre-School Special?
EtonHouse Nature Pre-School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School welcoming children from 18 months to 6 years of age. The 6,050 square-metre campus is situated in the midst of lush greenery, large outdoor spaces and natural surroundings in the heart of the Katong area. At EtonHouse Nature Pre-School, we are redefining early years education through a purpose-built campus that offers an innovative and unique programme accompanied with a specially designed learning environment that aligns on the three pillars:
Nature’s Classroom where we empower minds beyond the classroom
Besides our large sandpit, bicycle tracks and spacious turf, some of our latest enriched learning environments include a brand new Food Atelier, River Cove for water play, Reading Tree, Butterfly Trellis and a sensory garden designed to engage and stimulate all five senses and provide a deeply immersive experience for children’s research, exploration and learning in nature. Our latest additions, such as the Adventure Playland and Treetop Trails treehouse playground, fosters imaginative play, encourage children to push their limits, develop new skills and build resilience.
Cultivating sustainable choices with our Farm-to-Table menu
At the newly revamped Food Atelier, our children now have harvesting pods to learn more about nutritious and sustainable meals and have a wonderful dining experience where their meals are prepared by our in-house chefs who work closely with nutritionists to plan a variety of meals of nutritious value.
Nurture our children for success through our Internationally recognised, locally contextualised curriculum
As a bilingual IB PYP school, our curriculum is renowned worldwide for its excellence. Our bespoke Primary One Programme will help our Kindergarten 1 & 2 students prepare for the transition to primary school.
Enriched Learning Environments
Our campus has undergone a comprehensive transformation to enhance the experiences of our community, bringing more engagement with nature. Read more about these enhancements on the environment page.
Bespoke Primary Preparation Programme
Our tailored programme for Kindergarten 1& 2 students readies children for the transition to primary school. Whether it's a local or international institution, this initiative hones literacy and math foundations, imparts essential skills including trips to primary schools, and extends its support to parents entering this new phase.
A brand new Food Atelier
The dining area is revamped to offer children a more comfortable eating experience. Other than the environment, we will continue to work with our nutritionist who collaborates closely with our in-house chefs, to plan meals of nutritional value. We're committed to minimising sugar content, opting for ingredients that naturally enhance flavour, such as onions and carrots. Our culinary approach includes sourcing free-range fresh chicken and an array of wholesome fish, like salmon, red snapper, grouper, and barramundi. We use organic jams from France and premium sugar-free cornflakes from Italy. Additionally, we've selected 100% free-range fresh milk from Australia, ensuring your child receives nourishment free from antibiotics, GMOs, and hormones.
Passionate And Highly Qualified Educators
The only school in Singapore that works directly with the Reggio Children International Network, its educators receive high-quality professional learning on the Reggio Emilia approach. As one of the few education groups in Singapore with a dedicated research and training arm, we also have a dedicated research and training arm that allows our educators to receive ongoing professional development throughout the year and access the resources to continuously improve their curriculum.
Enhanced Operational Flexibility
To better accommodate the diverse schedules of our families, we're expanding our operational hours to span from 7am to 7pm. This extension provides families with the convenience of flexible drop-off and pick-up times, aligning with your daily routines.
Furthermore, we recognise the importance of consistent care during term breaks. Hence, our school will remain operational during these periods, offering engaging programmes at no additional charge. This way, we ensure a seamless experience for your child year-round, with the exception of public holidays and designated professional days for our dedicated educators.
Dual Language Environment With English and Mandarin
At all times, each class has two qualified educators — one who speaks Mandarin and one who speaks English. They take turns to deliver parts of each learning session in their native tongue so that over time, your child gets accustomed to listening and communicating in both languages.
Pathway to Primary, Secondary and High School
Upon graduation, families can choose to stay within the EtonHouse family. We have three Primary Schools across the island, including our EtonHouse Orchard campus that offers a powerful pathway from Primary to High School. EtonHouse Broadrick is another popular campus families choose for their IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). Situated just a 5-minute drive from EtonHouse Nature Pre-School, it offers both the academic excellence of the PYP and the convenience of proximity.
*EtonHouse Singapore Pre-Schools offer childcare services from 7am to 7pm, and follow the academic calendar of January to December. Singaporeans are eligible for government (ECDA) subsidies.
