Environment

Our classrooms are beautifully organised with cutting-edge teaching resources. The dining room serves a selection of international food. The ground floor caters to our younger children in the Pre-Nursery and Nursery programmes. The upper level caters to our Kindergarten children, as well as hosts a multimedia centre that is equipped with the latest in ICT to offer children a broad spectrum of experiences and learning. The school is aesthetically appointed with carefully considered state-of-the-art furnishing and resources. 

We encourage young children to explore their environment and express themselves using multiple languages which may include speaking, singing, movement, drawing, painting, writing, building and designing, collage, dramatic play, and music. Topics of study for project work may be captured from the children’s current competencies, skills, ideas and theories, or through family and community events, as well as the best-known interests of children (enduring childhood themes such as relationships, roles and responsibilities, and identity).

The outdoor playground has been designed specifically to ensure that children build deep relationships with the natural world and strengthen the concepts of sustainability within our curriculum. The Pre-School offers a robust and integrated second language programme where the teaching and learning of Mandarin are done in a relevant environment, thus making the process natural and effective.

EtonHouse International Pre-School at Claymore is registered as a foreign-system Pre-School by the Ministry of Education (MOE).
