Nursery
At EtonHouse Pre-School by the Beach, our Nursery curriculum encourages children to explore transferable concepts such as systems, change, and relationships, fostering critical thinking and effective communication skills.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we value listening and deliberate observation, recognising that children express their ideas, theories, and emotions through “hundred languages” — including art, movement, storytelling, and construction. These diverse mediums enable children to construct knowledge and represent their understanding of the world.
The natural environment, with the nearby beach and lush greenery, is integral to the Nursery curriculum. Daily outdoor explorations inspire curiosity, develop observational skills, and nurture problem-solving abilities while fostering a profound connection with nature.
Our strong bilingual programme in English and Mandarin is seamlessly integrated into daily experiences, enabling children to develop confidence and competence in both languages. Through meaningful and immersive experiences, children engage in conversations, storytelling, and early mark-making, building essential literacy and communication skills.
With nature as their classroom, inquiry as their guide, and bilingualism as a foundation, Nursery children at EtonHouse Pre-School by the Beach grow into confident, reflective, and capable learners, ready to embrace challenges and new discoveries.
