“Tonight, as I reflect on my journey, I am filled with gratitude for this recognition. However, this honour is not just mine alone—it belongs to every woman who has dared to dream, persisted through challenges, and made a difference in her own unique way.”

We are delighted to announce that Mrs Ng Gim Choo, Founder and Chairwoman of EtonHouse International Education Group, has been honoured as one of the esteemed recipients at the Serica AAPI Women’s Gala 2024 (Gala). This prestigious event in the United States celebrates visionary women leaders who have made outstanding contributions to their fields and society through resilience and perseverance.

Mrs Ng’s entrepreneurship journey began with a profound vision: to create a nurturing learning environment where children’s innate curiosity is celebrated and they are encouraged to discover and develop their unique talents. Her dedication and unwavering commitment to early childhood education have not only shaped the lives of more than 25,000 children but also inspired educators worldwide.

In her acceptance speech, Mrs Ng shared profound insights on her life’s work and the core belief of EtonHouse, quoting a Chinese proverb, “It takes 10 years to grow a tree, a 100 years to shape a person.” Mrs Ng emphasised, “And it all starts in the first five years of a child’s life. Children have infinite gifts and it is our responsibility to nurture their gifts. Through EtonHouse, I hoped to make a difference to the lives of children, give them a childhood and nurture a generation of happy, confident and successful young people. Give them skills beyond just rote learning and exam success.”

Reflecting on the achievement, Mrs Ng expressed deep gratitude. “Tonight, as I reflect on my journey, I am filled with gratitude for this recognition. However, this honour is not just mine alone—it belongs to every woman who has dared to dream, persisted through challenges, and made a difference in her own unique way.”

Mrs Ng’s speech also passionately conveyed a powerful message about perseverance and lifelong learning. “I hope that my presence here tonight, alongside all you inspiring women, serves as a reminder that learning and growth know no age limit. I started EtonHouse in my 40s when most people think of slowing down! It is never too late to start and don’t let anyone stop you from achieving your dreams.”

Her words are a testament to her belief in the transformative power of education and her commitment to fostering an environment where children can thrive. Mrs Ng’s recognition at the Conference and Gala is not just a personal accolade, but a celebration of the impact of her vision and the enduring legacy she continues to build through EtonHouse. It is also an inspiration to educators and women worldwide.

We are incredibly proud of Mrs Ng’s achievements and are inspired by her relentless pursuit of excellence in education.
